Field Notes

Description:

Adolescent: Mostly black but speckled with brown. Wings still had some young fluff and more brown. Starting of the white strip on the wing. Black beak and feet.

Habitat:

Woods with mostly birch and oak trees.

Notes:

This younger male was hanging back in the woods more than the adults.
