Description:

A desert annual, 5-10 cm tall. Inflorescence is capitate, sedge-like, although this is a true grass (Poaceae).

Habitat:

sands

Notes:

Although this is primarily a desert plant, in Israel it penetrates the coastal sands northwards into the Mediterraenan zone.
