Flowers and foliage as shown.

Habitat:

Dry, eroded east-facing hilllside with pine, other conifers, Gambel's Oak.

Notes:

I was on my way down a steep trail and initially thought that someone had dropped a very small bouquet. This plant is also known as "star lily."
