Notes:

A black flies with long wings found dead on a weed. These plants had many dead black flies. Are these plants deadly to insects?

They look more like ants or wasps. There are some plants that trap insects but do not have any mechanism for digesting them as carnivorous plants do, such as Bejaria racemosa which we have in Florida. It might be a defense mechanism
could be a semi carnivorous plant with sticky secretions that traps insects.
