Description:

I think the budding twig in the 3rd photo is from the same tree but in retrospect it looks similar to what I remember budding ash twigs look like. There were a number of mushrooms growing on this tree and the one next to it. I think blushing bracket (Daedaleopsis confragosa), turkey tails (Trametes versicolor), Blackfoot Polypore ( Polyporus leptocephalus), This fungus (whatever it is) http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/18472183 , Candlesnuff fungus (Xylaria hypoxylon), and on a fallen stick Scarlet Elfcup (Sarcoscypha sp.)
