Notes:

AKA Oregon myrtle, California bay laurel, California bay or California laurel, pepperwood, spicebush, cinnamon bush, peppernut tree, headache tree, mountain laurel, and Balm of Heaven.

Leaves can be used as bay leaves in cooking, and to repel insects, as well as other medicinal purposes. The nuts can be roasted and eaten.
