Description:

Vine with curly tendrils and three-lobed leaves. Native (to the Southeastern quarter of the USA) wildflower that can become weedy and/or invasive in some areas.

Habitat:

Temperate forest. Rockwood Park, Virginia.

Species ID Suggestions

Wild Cucumber,

Echinocystis lobata

Updated ID. This one took a bit of work since it had no flowers or fruit.
Thank you both for your suggestions. I am not sure this quite matches either ID suggestion. However, it does seem to resemble a wild cucumber of some sort. The search will continue...
