Description:
Like a small clump of debris on a stem, this small green lacewing larva was seen crawling along a plant stem. On it's slightly humped flattened body ( pic 2) with long bristles, it was carrying a collection of material probably, aphid integuments and food particles. The maxillae were curved like claspers (pic 1).
Habitat:
Spotted on a young eucalyptus tree at a reserve.
Notes:
The larvae uses the debris as camouflage.
