Field Notes

Description:

red with black spots bugs that parasite fruits of Asclepiadaceae. They arrive and parasite the capsule, i dont know if they feed on the latex of the tissue of the plant but it looks like....i rescued some fruits so the seeds survive for the next generation

Habitat:

xerophytic shrubland in the university campus of Mexico city

i have noticed the adults mating in the same fruit, the same plant of course where few weeks later i get to see the progenie....
Thanks to AgnesAdiqueTalavera I know this is another stage of life of a milkweed Bug: Oncopeltus fasciatus, i should place all pics in only one spotting....(adult and baby of a species) i will as soon as i have some time
