Field Notes

Description:

The social system of the Ring-tailed lemur is somewhat complicated and fascinating with both male and female dominance hierarchies. Wikipedia does a great job of explaining the social system.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington. Native to southern and southwestern Madagascar where it inhabits deciduous forests, dry scrub, montane humid forests, and gallery forests (forests along riverbanks).

Thanks Lauren. It's a full day there for sure.
I loved the Woodland Park Zoo! We spent a whole day there last October!
