Field Notes

Description:

Adults are a rich chocolate in colour. Bare bright yellow skin patch near eyes.

Habitat:

Urban bird. This one was having bread/biscuit crumbs on my rooftop terrace.

Notes:

I see lots of pairs but rarely, a baby common myna.
Shalikh in Bangla.
Apparently seeing a pair brings happiness. Two for joy.
