Field Notes

Description:

33cm wingspan on the male, the female is slightly bigger. Two obvious ringlets under the back wing & an orange tinge above.

Habitat:

Found on the edges of rainforests, mainly right on the coast. They prefer shaded areas with filtered sunlight where larval food plants grow, (Poaceae).
