Field Notes

Description:

From above - a lush mixture of rich chocolate and creamy vanilla waves and lines with intense chrome-yellow hind wings. From below the wings are fairly plain yellow ochre with a couple of dark eye-spots and wavy lines. At rest it held it's wings in a strange cowled position. About 25mm long.

Habitat:

Attracted to lights in a back yard.

Not sure Daniele. Leuba spotted one with the wings almost completely spread. And that night was hotter than this. Maybe we can read the ambient temperature from these? I'll note if we find any more. :)
