Description:

Tiny orange with a probing, sucking mouthpart.

Habitat:

Vegetation near the mouth of the River Matla. Lots of mangrove vegetation here.

Notes:

Could not identify the tree either.

Thank you bayucca, I too think it is a nymph...sorry could not get a better shot because the tree was on an incline..if I slipped I'd go rolling down into the water! Didn't risk it.
This is a Scutelleridae, Jewel Bug. Might be Chrysocoris sp. (most common one would be Chrysocoris stollii), but there are other ones. Might even be a nymph. Tricky if you do not have a picture from the upperside.
