Field Notes

Description:

Large grasshopper sitting patiently. Solitary.

Habitat:

Weedy vegetation by the verge, we had stopped hoping to spot some birds when this one was spotted instead. Rajarhaat area is being developed swiftly. Soon grass, reed, water-bodies, weeds will all disppear. Biodiversity too.

Notes:

Looks a lot like the bird-grasshoppers posted recently on PN.

Species ID Suggestions
