Field Notes

Description:

Three swans, one of which is a juvenile. From someone in my Kodiak Birding group: "They appear to be tundra swans, if you look close under their eyes they appear to have a yellow triangle which is usually indicative of tundras," however, I think the juvenile could potentially be a Trumpeter because of the black at the base of the bill. I am not sure though. Any input would be appreciated

Habitat:

In a small, calm section of lake cut off from the main section by the road; rural area.
