Open habitat. Grasses, wildflowers, scattered pines and aspens.Elevation 8,373 feet.
Notes:
These butterflies were drinking on a moist patch of driveway. A hose had been leaking here. Their larval host plant, wild buckwheat, was blooming everywhere.
