Description:

It has a little sexual dimorphism, with males having up to 72 cm long and females up to 57 cm, weighing between 5-9 kg and 4-7 kg respectively.

Habitat:

It can be found in the western part of the Amazon Basin, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador and Bolivia. In the particular case of this picture, the specimen was found in Brazil on the border between North Pantanal and Amazon.
