A pair of Great Thick-Knee birds (also known as Great Stone-Curlew's). Spotted in Yala National Park, Sri Lanka, in wetland ponds.

That is a cool looking bird! Makes you take a second look to see their knees bending that way. It's great to see a picture of one standing also. Thanks for sharing this picture!
Great spotting Chris. I thinks it's cool how they sit around. If never seen then in the wild, but in the zoos, I see them sitting the same way. It must be comfortable :-) Thanks for sharing.
