Field Notes

Description:

Females are dimorphic. The dark morph is mostly dark gray or black. The ventral hindwing has one row of orange spots and a blue postmedian area.

Habitat:

Spotted visiting golden ragweed at the Holla Bend National Wildlife Refuge in Arkansas.
