Field Notes

Description:

Wolf spider, unknown species, about 3cm long, covered in babies! seen in urban environment in Kawe, Tanzania.

Habitat:

Found in a concrete stairwell in the night, but presuming her habitat would have been urban garden, quite sort of derelict grassy areas, drains, abandoned building materials. Plenty of humans around ,but not much disturbance to the environment.

Notes:

First time I have seen a wolf spider, Awesome! She just looked like a black spider down in the corner, not that eyecatching. I am so glad I bent down to have a closer look!
