Field Notes

Description:

Pale green-yellow in color with black spots on its face and can reach a maximum length of 80 cm. It feeds mainly on small fish. Morays breathe by constantly opening and closing their mouths to move water through their gills.

Habitat:

Found singly on protected inshore reefs, harbours and small caves hiding among dead corals.

Notes:

Spotted at a depth of about 6 m. Basura, Anilao, Batangas, Philippines

Guess it was just breathing hard or just showing it's teeth hehe. Didn't see any cleaner shrimps around :-)
