Description:

A delightful hemispherical leaf beetle also called a tortoise beetle. Its ability to withdraw its feet and antennae under its armor may contribute to the name of tortoise beetle.

Notes:

Here are two specimens found on adjacent leaves to indicate some of the variation within this species.
