Field Notes

Description:

Ah, silverfish. I honestly first heard of them through the video game Minecraft in my early teens, I had no idea they were a real creature until someone told me, and it took me ever longer to find one. Harmless wingless arthropods, they mostly eat polysaccharides from what I can tell, and inhabit moist areas. Probably why this one was in my sink.

Habitat:

Silverfish are everywhere. Mostly in moist areas of humidity in the ranges of 75 to 95 percent. This species is found in the North America, Europe, and the Carribean.
