Description:
Small deciduous shrub whose youngest branches, in late winter to very early spring, bear hundreds of five-petaled flowers with long stamens. The limbs are covered like a glove by small pink blooms as its leaves begin to unfurl. Well adapted to the heat of the Deep South and not too fussy about light or soil conditions.
Habitat:
Wildlife habitat yard on Lake Lewisville.
