Description:

large mature tree, this picture is of the first leaf to turn fall color, beautiful red fall leaf, shiny, simple, entire leaf; great shade tree; small blue fruit

Habitat:

full sun, clay soil, dry conditions at top of the hill

Notes:

some bee keepers make tupelo honey; spotted by Nathan Slattery
