The outer flight feathers are blacker, although in some lighting conditions, blue and green colors can be displayed. The forehead is bright bluish green. The mantle and scapulars, often seem bluer during the breeding season. The head often appear bluer than the mantle. The parrots are black, and the headset have a bluish black color.
