Field Notes

Description:

Such cute birds, striking long tail, fluffy grey tuft on their head, red legs, brown to grey bodies, and always in gossiping groups.

Habitat:

Very common down east Africa, in most woodland scrub areas, and very common in gardens and urban areas.

Notes:

I love these birds, they are another 'common' variety, but so much fun. Always in little groups and always skylarking about and chatting endlessly. They are really delightful to watch.

Thank you, I love them, they are real characters, like parrots in disguise.
Another great series. Thanks for sharing these. They remind me of the Grey go-away-bird.
