Field Notes

Description:

Woodpecker with a black and white back (ladder back??). Has a red mark on the top of its' head, a yellow mark on its' nape, and a golden mark against its' beak.

I think it may be a Golden=fronted woodpecker.

Habitat:

Found feeder on a beery feeder in a tree.

Notes:

This bird was busy chasing off a cardinal when we spotted it.
