Field Notes

Description:

The top of the head, neck, mantle and breast are the wine color. The rest of the plumage is gray-blue, the neck has metallic reflections. The tips of the rectrices (tail feathers) are brown-clear. It measures about 32 cm.

Habitat:

Can be found to Brazil in fields of isolated trees, trees on the banks of rivers, forest edges, secondary forests and mangroves. Moves on the ground walking with quick steps.
