Field Notes

Description:

medium sized deer

Habitat:

Centeral and North America, woodlands, coastal dunes, marshes, wetlands, common in eastern US. This sighting was on the fringe of an inland wooded area about 300 yards from a fresh water pond and perhaps a half mile from a wetlands area. The exact geographical location can be seen in the "where did you find it" block.

Notes:

This small group of 5 deer were on the side of a backcountry road. They were grazing and it appeared to be 2 adult does and 3 yearlings.
