Field Notes

Description:

Very common Toad throughout Tanzania. Dark brown and olive green colour. Slightly paler under belly. Wide mouth. Big eyes. Distinctive lighter tan stripe from the nose all the way down the back. Varying darker splotches on each side of the dorsal stripe. Quite pronounced ridges behind the eyes.

Habitat:

Very urban back yard in tiny garden edge. usually seen only in the night, but often quite vocal on rainy days.

Notes:

Love frogs.
