Field Notes

Description:

A rusty orange butterfly with a black and white spotted body. Wings have black edges with the same rusty orange spots. When the wings are closed colours are quite subdued, more beige than orange.

Habitat:

Very common in gardens and urban environments, as well as out in the bush and national parks in Tanzania.

Notes:

This one must be a common variety of something, it really is very very abundant in most places I have seen around Tanzania.
