Field Notes
Description:
A small wren with dark olive coloured back, dark eyes with white streaks above and below. Belly and rump were a dull reddish brown. Straight dark short bill.
Pic #3 shows an untidy, ball of twigs and grass - could be the nest.
Habitat:
Spotted along coastal Australia
Notes:
The bird was seen perching near the nest but was very active flitting about between the branches.
Quite common, insect eating passerine in the family Pardalotidae.
