Field Notes

Description:

It's about an inch & a half tall, oppositely arranged leaves with the flowers growing right out of the node (where the aux. bud would be)

Habitat:

My friend was walking around his apt's & found it there. That would make it a chaparral climate. I'm pretty sure this is not a native tho.

Notes:

I took this photo with my smart-phone using an attachment to take good close up shots. I'm stilll playing with it, but if there are any experianced photographers out there with extracurricular comments critiques. It would be greatly appreciated.

A thankful shout out to drP for an ID suggestion on this plant. After some quick scouring of some of my textbooks I found out that this particular plant (Anagallis foemina) is identical to Anagallis monelli except A. foemina has broader leaves than A. monelli.
