Field Notes

Description:

It measures 40 cm long and weighs 240 - 260g.It has a characteristic yellow-gold necklace neck, blue crown, white facial skin and base of orange tail. In flight, one can see the yellow underneath the wing.

Habitat:

It occurs in Brazil in the Pantanal area in Mato Grosso and iIlha Bananal (the Araguaia River region) in riverine forests, savannah and dry forests.
