Actually there is a lot of Bear Tension in the parks! Just two weeks ago a mama grizzly had eaten a hiker and buried the other half for later news. She was euthanized and her cubs taken to Ohio zoo. There were 4 drivers. The 2 girls and us. It is tedious but best way of spending time with family and catching up with kids.
That's a lot of driving but it sounds like a great adventure! I'm envious of you because I've never been to Yellowstone nor seen a wild bear (not even in Alaska).
Cindy, you were so lucky to see that moose and baby! i went across "4" major national parks, not a single sighting! Saw a grizzly, bison, coyote, elk, pronghorn. This was across Yellow stone national park,Glaciar national park and Grand teton and Waterton park
