Description:

Caterpillar approximately 4 cm long; black head; black body with white dorsal, dorso-lateral, and lateral white lines running the length of the body; covered with long white hairs.

Habitat:

On stem of Blackberry Lily (Belamcanda chinensis) under a Pecan tree (Carya illinoinensis) at the edge of an open field.

It was early in the morning. I think I woke it up - shining a bright light at it. I don't think it was too happy.
