Field Notes

Description:

This appeared to be a relatively small eastern gray (8-10"). It was brownish gray all over, but with a white stomach. The tail didn't appear bushy, but he was relaxing so maybe normally it would be.

Habitat:

They are tree squirrels buy spend a lot of time on the ground foraging for food. This one was in the back yard of a house in Houston, TX.

Notes:

Squirrels are always fun to watch. I'd see 2-3 running around almost every day looking nuts. Or is that looking "for" nuts? I forget. It was hard to tell.
