Description:

Hesperiidae; Hesperiinae; Taractrocera luzonensis luzonensis Staudinger, 1889. Skippers, like this one, from the subfamily Hesperiinae close their wings vertically when eating and hold them in an open position, with the forewings and hind wings at different angles when resting.

Habitat:

This Luzon Grass Dart was spotted in a rice field on a leaf of the ripe crop.
