Hello Joe. Welcome to Project Noah! You've got the correct genus in your suggestion but Codiaeum variegatum (as its name implies) is extremely variable and encompasses this variety too. It really isn't necessary to suggest species for your own spotting, you can just add it in if you are reasonably certain. Cheers!

I have two of these at home. I have one "banana" and one "luna" croton. I am currently cloning both of them. Great house plant.
