This beautiful desert cardinal was foraging among thick shrubs in a desert arroyo.

Habitat:

Chihuahuan desert, spotted in an arroyo.

I know what you mean, I only have a handful of Pyrrhuloxia photos myself... Can be tricky to spot. Though I think I found a great location because I continued to see them several times during my hike.
