Description:

Large and shiny, mostly black. Hind margin of pronotum and forewing veins in yellow. Hindwings red with black borders. (information from BugGuide)

Resort garden

Notes:

I saw several dozen grasshopper nymphs in a garden just a few square feet in diameter.
