Description:

This spider has a web strung out from the ceiling where it is waiting with one leg holding a strand. When it feels a tug it moves onto the web (pic 2) and goes down to a luckless moth which has flown into the web (pics 3-5).

Habitat:

Balcony, waiting for food attracted from surrounding countryside by night light, limestone outcrop in foothills of Los Serranos mountains.
