Field Notes
Description:
This one was about 8 cm long, I almost missed it in the algea growing on the rocks. Those little creatures are very good at hiding. This one got disturbed by our presence and started to swim,
Habitat:
Reef close to the resort in shallow, sheltered water, hiding amidst seaweed and sea-grass is common for this specie.
Notes:
Reproduction cycle is interesting. Males are being pregnent. They have special pouch where female is depositing eggs. After about 5 weeks small seahorses emerge.
