Description:

Adult swallowtail. One of many I've found so far across the US. Yellow base with black stripes.

Habitat:

Most regions, but native to eastern North America.

I suspect this may actually be a Western Tiger Swallowtail but the images are not quite clear enough for me to be certain. It is in range for it. http://bugguide.net/node/view/24573
