Field Notes

Description:

Shiny black millipede, quite thick body (1.5cm diameter roughly) segmentation is clear but the body apears as one big shiny being. Stark black with contrasting red legs and red antennae. Body about 15-18cm long. Moves fast.

Habitat:

urban back yard.
appeared out of the lawn on one side, crossed the drive way and disapeared into the lawn on the other side.

Notes:

I think this is Ephibolus pulchripes, but not certain.
