Description:

A semi-parasitic plant. Like mistletoe, it obtains some food from photosynthesis, and some from a plant host. Comandra parasitizes the roots of a variety of herbaceous and woody plants. The plant spreads by rhizomes and tends to be found in patches or colonies.

Notes:

Also known as bastard toadflax, or just comandra. C. umbellata is the only species of the genus.
