Antichloris viridis

I'll have to start checking the bananas I buy for one of these stowaways! Very interesting how they been showing up in the UK.
OK, got it... And now the surprise. Please, check the link and the locations. It was obviously introduced in UK by bananas. It is almost 100% a Antichloris and almost sure it is viridis. There are some other species, but I did not found any reasonable match with yours. Key issue would be the white and red spots on the head (check all pictures from any link, sometimes you will see the important red spots) and the markings on the body. Colors and markings on the wings might change depending on the light angulation: http://www.nhm.ac.uk/natureplus/thread/5931 http://www.northumberlandmoths.org.uk/moth.php?taxon_from_search=Antichloris%20viridis https://www.birdguides.com/webzine/article.asp?print=1&a=3098
Bayucca, you did it again!!!
Bayucca, given your track record of identifying all sorts of moths, it wouldn't surprise me if you came up with a name for this one!
Maybe a little surprise...
Give me some more minutes...
Bayucca thanks for looking into this one. The one you linked is a really nice picture of the same species, and maybe some day it will get a name:-)
I knew I have seen this before! http://www.flickr.com/photos/76033499@N00/5412708885/in/set-72157625436732377 Unfortunately still without an ID, I remember I have turned my whole library...
Yes, these white spots are typical for Macrocneme. I would not bet my ranch on the genus. I'll try to get some more infos. http://boldsystems.org/index.php/TaxBrowser_Taxonpage?taxid=4356
