Description:

Indian Head Ginger is a subshrub and herb. It is up to 8 feet tall. The leaves are glossy, dark green, hairless, spirally arranged, drooping, and elliptic to egg-shaped. The bright red flowers stand out nicely against the green foliage. The flowering bract is a short and bright red cone.

Habitat:

Indian Head Ginger grows in sunny to shady gardens with moist soil.
